My niece thought she should have flown less, so she could have lived longer。 Food for thought。

BiographyGrades 2-5Amelia Earhart was the first female pilot so learning about what she did can be really inspiring to students! Even though these are considered easy readers, these biographies are great for all grade levels and can inspire any student。 I hope to get my own collection of these books for my future classroom。

Amelia Earhart is overdone。 The illustrations were interesting but the info was short and dry。

This would be a 3。5/5 for me。 This picture book tells the story of Amelia Earhart's brave adventures。 Even attending the air shows as a young girl, she knew that she wanted to be a pilot。 With the help of a few others, she became the first woman to fly over the Atlantic ocean。 The text is rather simple, as are the illustrations, but they work well together to give the reader an idea of Amelia Earhart's story。 I just felt like this book needed a bit more substance。 I would've liked more backgroun This would be a 3。5/5 for me。 This picture book tells the story of Amelia Earhart's brave adventures。 Even attending the air shows as a young girl, she knew that she wanted to be a pilot。 With the help of a few others, she became the first woman to fly over the Atlantic ocean。 The text is rather simple, as are the illustrations, but they work well together to give the reader an idea of Amelia Earhart's story。 I just felt like this book needed a bit more substance。 I would've liked more background on Amelia or more insight into the challenges that she faced in pursuit of her goals。 However, I think the author did a great job of showing how the plane went missing without making it jarring for younger readers。 Simply put, "it was never seen again。" Overall, though, I really did enjoy this book, and I think it does a fine job of teaching students about Amelia Earhart's journey across the Atlantic。 。。。more

This story starts off with Amelia as a young girl admiring the planes in the sky。 It then goes on to describe her life as a pilot and her goal to fly around the world。 The book is rather short and ends with her disappearance, along with a quote she once said about doing the things you want to do。I would read this to an elementary class if we were learning about Amelia Earhart。 The story is pretty short and concise。

This book explains the story of Amelia Earhart in a way that would be appropriate for younger audiences。 I think it does a good job of making it into a fun story for children while also being educational。 It is easy to understand and has bright, fun pictures。 It is a good book to teach children about her role as an inspirational female, and historical character。

This book by Isabel Sánchez Vegara was a historical nonfiction book about Amelia Earhart and her journey as the first female pilot。 This book had lovely, whimsical illustrations by Mariadiamantes throughout every page。 The illustrations were very colorful and fun to look at while reading along。 I think that this book would be a great book to have on a book shelf in lower elementary classrooms。 The last page even included a factual timeline of her life with real photos。 I thought that this was a This book by Isabel Sánchez Vegara was a historical nonfiction book about Amelia Earhart and her journey as the first female pilot。 This book had lovely, whimsical illustrations by Mariadiamantes throughout every page。 The illustrations were very colorful and fun to look at while reading along。 I think that this book would be a great book to have on a book shelf in lower elementary classrooms。 The last page even included a factual timeline of her life with real photos。 I thought that this was a great addition to the book, so the kids can see what she really looked like。 。。。more

I love this series of books as they are great for sharing small snippets of history and are suitable for all ages in school。 It can encourage children to then look in more detail about the person and the history of them。 I think the story is a good length as it can lead to discussions in the classroom and can be used for different cross-curricular links as well。 I would recommend the series of books as they are great in the classroom。

I didn’t know this much about Amelia, and the bit about her being the first women at 14,000 feet- men are dumb。 She was also about my age when she went missing。 I really thought she was in her 20s so I’m rethinking a lot of my life right now。 The girls enjoyed it。

Liked the book very much。 Amelia Earhart is a real inspiration still to this day。 But I was very disappointed about one of her greatest achievements being reduced to a short sentence at the bottom of a page。 Also thought the 99 should’ve gotten some more explanation。 It was a really big deal back then。
